The moment in which pain is felt by both subject and onlooker, all barriers dissolve between ‘myself’ and ‘the other’. This moment reveals a universal truth that is always there but mostly forgotten: We are all inextricably linked and what happens to you will affect me, too. This makes us Blood Brothers. To remember this is to heal even deeper wounds.
